Oxfordshire · Full-time, permanent · Three-bedroom cottage available
We are looking for a multi-skilled tradesperson to join an existing estate team, maintaining
and repairing property on a privately owned Oxfordshire estate.
The role
- Responsible for providing a wide range of high-quality repair works on residential and commercial
property
- Varied maintenance and renovation work which may include carpentry, basic plumbing, plastering,
pointing, brickwork, paving and decorating
- Liaising with contractors on site for specialist works
- Point of contact for tenant repairs
- Working with the managing agents and maintenance team to develop and inform repair and
maintenance schedules
Typical jobs
Carpentry and sash window repairs, plastering and decorating, lime pointing and stonework, minor
plumbing and drain clearance, and minor electrical work such as replacing sockets and light fittings.
The candidate
- A main trade (carpentry, plastering, bricklaying, stonemasonry, building or decorating) plus good all-
round building skills with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Experience of listed buildings and traditional construction methods
- Personable, organised and self-motivated; a good communicator who is happy working
independently or within a team
- A full UK driving licence
Hours, salary and benefits
- Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm
- Competitive salary, depending on experience, and a three-bedroom cottage on the Estate available with the role if required
- Use of estate vehicle, tools, uniform and PPE
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and a workplace pension
- Paid training, with the opportunity to grow into a senior role
