General Estate Maintenance person
LLANOVER, ABERGAVENNY, MONMOUTHSHIRE, NP7 9HY
Full-Time, Permanent Position
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time role supporting the wider Estate
management team across the residential, agricultural, commercial, forestry, and
sporting portfolio. This is a diverse role which a strong ‘can do’ attitude. This will
suit an individual not looking for a 9-5 role, capable of lone working without
significant supervision but also as part of a team.
Primary Duties – would include but are not limited to:
.Tractor driving, trailer towing, field maintenance and fence repairs
.Lawn mowing, hedge cutting, strimming, leaf blowing, weeding, pruning shrubs &
trees
· Digging, planting and soft landscaping when instructed
· Weed control & lawn quality management
· Woodland planting, felling & log splitting
. Clearing properties following tenancies internally and externally.
· Maintenance of roads, paths, ditches, ponds & fencing
· Maintain equipment including mowers, strimmers, chain saws & tools
· Handyman duties using power tools
· Assist with general property maintenance and water supplies when required
· Driving and running errands as per business requirements
Applicant Specification
· Full driving licence
· Punctual, positive “can do” attitude
· Attention to detail and flexibility are vital, tidy & organised
· Physical stamina to handle outdoor work in varied weather conditions
· Largely lone working but ability to work within team when required
· Tractor, chain saw & spray qualifications essential
. Telehandler, digger qualifications advantageous but not essential. Training and
continued professional development would be available to the right candidate
· Flexibility to work weekends/evenings as required.
Package & Remuneration
Salary: Will depend upon qualifications/experience.
Holidays: 20 days plus statutory bank holidays.
Pension: Enrolment into a stakeholder pension scheme after the
successful completion of a 3 month probation period.
Training: Agreed courses will provided free but will become partially
repayable should the employee leave the role within 24 months
of the course.
Vehicle: A suitable vehicle will be provided by the employer for the
fulfilment of your duties or an allowance payable for using your
own vehicle.
Housing: Housing could be provided on the Estate in lieu of salary if
required.
Commencement: An immediate start is available upon the acceptance of the role
and 2 satisfactory references being supplied.
