Gamekeeper/Estate Worker required for an established private family shoot in North Norfolk (NR11). The position is for a professional individual who is organised, hardworking, honest and above all, enthusiastic! The role will be varied and not limited to just gamekeeping. The ideal candidate must be open minded and keen to take on new challenges.
Above all, the candidate must be highly experienced in rearing day-old partridges and pheasants to a high standard. The candidate must also have experience in all aspects of running a shoot:
· Organising and running shoot days
· Managing the beating team and pickers up
· Feeding and retaining game/wildfowl – Dogging in
· Managing shoot infrastructure - pen maintenance/rearing field set up & take down/managing and maintaining shoot vehicles/trailers etc
· Deer Management
· Vermin Control
The role also includes estate management duties such as:
· Grass cutting (topping)
· Chainsaw tasks – keeping estate in tidy shape
· General Estate maintenance
· Supporting other members of the estate team if required
Essential Requirements:
Full & clean drivers licence
Firearms & shotgun licence
Chainsaw certificates
