Full time Under Keeper – Jepps Brothers

Jepps brothers is a family run business formed on over 15 years’ experience in producing high quality pheasant and partridge shooting across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Due to being let down last minute we have an exciting position come available across three shoots ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

Duties of the role:

· Releasing and rearing young stock;

· Feeding and watering;

· Pen maintenance and repairing;

· Assisting with predator and pest control.

· Maintaining equipment to a high standard;

· Asistaning with land and habitat management practises;

· Liasing with Headkeeper

· Assisting with the preparation of shoot days.

Must be/have:

1. Clean driving licence

2. Able to take instruction.

3. Punctual and on time

4. Reliable

5. Work well on your own and as part of team.

6. Flexible – may be required to work outside of the core hours.

7. Good level of physical fitness and stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions

8. Shotgun & Firearms would be beneficial. – But we can help with this once enrolled.

Desired

1. Background knowledge or interest in game shooting and conservation/ countryside management

2. Practical farm experience
