BROCKLESBY ESTATE – GROUNDSMAN

A full-time experienced Groundsman is sought for the Brocklesby Estate.

The main purpose of the role is the day to day maintenance of the extensive grounds.

The role includes but is not limited to:

· Maintenance of extensive lawns including fine lawns

· Walk-behind and ride-on cylinder mowing

· Walk-behind rotary mowing

· Scarification, feeding

· Ride-on and amenity grass cutting

· Upkeep of verges

· Strimming and seasonal long grass cutting

· Blowing, leaf collecting, tractor driving

· Hedge Cutting of formal hedges

· Spraying

· Some experience in free range poultry

· Competent use of landscaping machinery

· Pruning/planting of beds, shrubs and trees

· Occasional weeding tasks

· Mindful of safe working practices and the health and safety of others

· Regular maintenance and checks of a full range of garden equipment

The candidate must have a genuine interest in maintaining the grounds to a high standard.

Positive ‘can do’ flexible attitude.

Team player, good time management and proactive approach.

Attention to detail, tidy and organised.

Strong communication skills.

Friendly, professional and approachable manner

Physical stamina to handle outdoor work in various weather conditions

This is a role for an experienced groundsman and a good background knowledge of private estate maintenance is required.

Reward Package

· Salary up to £30K dependent on experience

· Permanent full time with occasional paid overtime

· Pension scheme
