Beat Keeper required for Raisthorpe Shoot in East Yorkshire
Raisthorpe Shoot is predominantly a partridge shoot with some pheasants based on the Yorkshire Wolds.
A great job opportunity has arrived for a forward thinking, motivated beat keeper to join our team.
The main role is to assist the Head keeper in carrying out day to day tasks associated with running a quality shoot. The role will involve carrying out all aspects of bird husbandry from egg production through to releasing of birds.
You will be responsible for your own beat keeping and maintaining high standards of work.
You will help to maintain good working relationships with neighbouring farms as well as within the estate.
You will be responsible for all associated management of partridge and pheasant incl feeding, watering, vermin control, dogging in. Additional duties will include general maintenance and tidying up of the grounds of the estate.
You will assist the head keeper in enhancing an improving the shoot and ensuring the highest standards are met with a modern, forward thinking approach to duties.
Candidates must have a clean driving licence, a current shot gun certificate, chain saw ATV tickets and working dogs and at least 5 years relevant experience.
