The Harrock Estate is a privately owned rural estate spanning 1,350 acres located in West
Lancashire.
There is an opportunity for an Assistant Groundskeeper to join the existing Estate team. The
successful candidate would be responsible for assisting the established Head Groundskeeper
with gardening and estate maintenance activities which are undertaken to high standard;
plus, other tasks for the family from time to time as required.
The main place of work will be within the 15 acres of garden, 4 acres of which are formal being
the immediate surroundings of Harrock Hall, Wrightington.
Role Specific Information
* Full time position based on 40 hours per week
* Annual leave 28 days including bank holidays
* Competitive salary commensurate with experience
D i v e r s e work programme - grounds maintenance, hard and soft landscaping, small
scale forestry / tree surgery, general estate maintenance
C a n d i d a t e R e q u i r e m e n t s
* General experience in gardening and estate maintenance, although there is a
willingness to teach and develop the right candidate
• Must have a driving licence a n d own vehicle due to the location
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team - using initiative, yet having a
willingness to learn and operate to a high standard
* Related additional qualifications including but not limited to chainsaw, tractor, ATV.
spraying etc. are not compulsory, but may be beneficial
