Apprentice Underkeeper – South Ayrshire

Set in over 2,000 acres of beautiful Ayrshire woodland and countryside is family owned Carnell Estates. Carnell has enjoyed a very successful pheasant shoot over many years with on average 30 shoot days per season.

An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Underkeeper to join the Carnell team. The successful candidate will be hardworking, punctual and have a willingness to learn.

This position would suit a college leaver or someone wanting to start off their career who has a keen interest in gamekeeping.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

· Rearing from day old;

· General game husbandry;

· Dogging in;

· Feeding;

· General estate maintenance;

· Assisting the Head Gamekeeper in all aspects for the shoot;

· Release pen maintenance;

· Vermin control.

Working dogs, shot gun and firearms licences are essential, along with a full UK driving licence.
